Carol ha trabajado como profesora, educadora de salud, enfermera y partera. Originalmente, ella también es del estado de Nueva York, se graduó de Mount Holyoke College (BA), Russell Sage College (BSN), y la Escuela de Partería y Enfermería Familiar de Frontier (MS). Ella está jubilada, y dedica su tiempo a la labor de la Fundación.
Licenciada Martha Kimmel es un excelente abogado que ha representado la Fundación en todos sus proyectos. Ademas sirve como miembro de la Junta Directiva de la Fundación. Ella reside en Santo Domingo, Provincia de Los Santos, Panamá. Martha es completamente bilingüe, ofrece asesoramiento jurídico de expertos y consulta general sobre todos los projectos de of Fundacion, y se reúne con funcionarios del gobierno en nombre de la Fundación.
Licenciada Martha Kimmel is an excellent attorney who has represented the Foundation in all of its projects. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Foundation. She resides in Santo Domingo, Provincia de Los Santos, Panama. Martha is bilingual, provides expert legal advice and general consultation on each of the Foundation projects, and often meets with government officials on the Foundation’s behalf.
The Foundation is fortunate to have had Diana Bennett, a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer work with our project in Paritilla, San José, and La Laguna as a Response Volunteer.
Diana spent two years in the village of Las Trancas in Panama, then continued her service for a year to teach computer classes. She traveled all over Panama to teach computer courses at remote sites, and worked with the government agency SENACYT to train the managers of their Infoplazas.
In her assignment to this Foundation, she worked with the people of Paritilla to develop the new Computer Learning Center and with the Computer Learning Center in La Laguna, to improve daily operations and programs of the center. Additionally, she provided programming support to the Centers in Isla Cañas and San José.
Diana is now retired, and has returned to her home in Pennsylvania. Fortunately for all of us, she has become a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, and continues to share her expertise with ongoing projects.
La Fundación es muy afortunada de haber tenido a Diana Bennett, una voluntaria del Cuerpo de Paz de EEUU trabajando con nuestros proyectos en Paritilla, San José, y La Laguna.
Diana pasó dos años en el pueblo de Las Trancas en Panamá, luego continuó su servicio por un año para enseñar clases de computadora. Viajo por todo Panamá para enseñar cursos de informática en sitios remotos; trabajó con la agencia gubernamental SENACYT para capacitar a sus administradores de las Infoplazas.

Diana ahora esta jubilada, y ha regresado a su hogar en Pennsylvania. Afortunadamente para todos nosotros, Diana sirve ahora como miembro de la Junta Directiva de la Fundación, y sigue compartiendo su experiencia con los proyectos regularmente.
Profesora Flor has been a strong community leader in La Laguna all of her life, totally dedicated to the improvement and advancement of her village, where she grew up with her well-respected family.
She was a school teacher for many years, first in La Laguna and then moving to teach in other communities and in the University in Panama, receiving National awards of distinction for her teaching.
Flor was essential in the creation of the Computer Learning Center program, and has been involved in all of the Foundation’s projects. She is committed to the work of the Foundation because it is able to help her carry out her own vision of the advancement of La Laguna. In 2016, Flor was named First Honorary Director of the Foundation, and remains its most important advisor.
Flor es una líder de la comunidad en La Laguna, totalmente dedicada a la mejora y el progreso de su pueblo, dónde secrió con su familia muy respetada.
Ella era una maestra de escuela durante muchos años, primero en La Laguna y luego pasar a enseñar en otras comunidades y en la Universidad de Panamá, recibiendo premios nacionales de distinción para su enseñanza.

At the community meeting, there was resounding support for recreational opportunities for youth (and adults!), and a recreation field was essential in order to develop a program. The Foundation searched for a suitable parcel of land, and, after two and a half years, has found a great four acre parcel, bordering on a stream, just behind the center of the village.
The Foundation completed the purchase of the land in August 2013. The leveling and preparation of the land was completed in 2014. The Sports Committee of La Laguna has taken over responsibility for the development of baseball and soccer fields, field and equipment maintenance, and team organization. A soccer team has already been organized and is playing regularly.
Improvements to the field continue. The Sports Committee raised funds and purchased a mower to keep the fields in good condition. In 2017, the committee completed building bathrooms with running water.
